There may be only one Group 1 winner and one odds-on favourite in the Australian Oaks 2012 at Randwick this Saturday but for punters looking for a quick form guide on the other fillies besides Streama youâll find it below in the exclusive Races.com.au Australian Oaks Form Guide in two words.

Streama will take some beating in the 2012 Australian Oaks on Saturday
Guy Walterâs Flight Stakes champ Streama is $1.60 through bookmaker.com.au and likely to firm ahead of the $550,000 Group 1 Patinack Farm Australian Oaks (2400m) this Doncaster Mile Day.
She comes off the right sort of form, is a proven wet-tracker and faces only seven fairly average rivals.
So itâs easy to see why Streama dominates the Australian Oaks odds and while Walter has nothing but praise for the daughter of Stratum.
âAs a two-year-old Streama had natural speed and liked to race,â Walter said
âShe stood out from early days.
âLike all the good horses, Streama has strength, a great constitution, is clean-winded, and doesn’t carry a lot of condition.
âShe is a very, very good filly.â
Walter is out for his third Australian Oaks success to add to the trophy collection alongside those he won with Republic Lass (2002) and Wild Iris (2004), and he looks a good thing for it too.
He remains grounded however and knows the Heavy track and step up to 2400-metres on Saturday makes her somewhat vulnerable.
âWe are setting her a task,â he said.
âThis filly does have a few hurdles to overcome and the main one is she hasn’t really had an ideal lead-up.
âShe has gone from 1500 metres to 2000 metres and straight to 2400 metres.
âThe fact she is going to be running over 2400 metres on a bog is a disadvantage.
âShe has a brilliant turn of foot and most horses like that are better on top of the ground but I have great confidence in her and I’m relying heavily on her class to pull her through.â
As Walter knows there are no sure things in horse racing, so is there anything in the Australian Oaks form guide and stats to indicate a value runner to place a sneaky dollar on?
Thereâs also the matter of the Australian Oaks trifecta to pick.
Will Walter win it with his other Oaks hopes Lightens and Colourist sneaking in to place behind their star stablemate?
What about the New Zealand filly Full Of Spirit, is she a chance of an upset Australian Oaks result?
And what about the others, is their wet track and lead-up form indicating the better place bets?
Having done the hard work for our readers below we have our famously concise and to-the-point form guide on the Australian Oaks summing up who to back and who to sack in just two words a runner.
